They come from over the river!

This blog is getting so popular as freaking Franz Ferdinand. I hope I don't end up using eyeliner, but one never knows.
Hmmm. It is time to give a short history of the blog.

The start:
2 readers. Crappy reviews!

The summer:
3 Readers. Crappy lay out!

Now:
5 readers. Crapy Lay out and Crap reviews!

(the numbers are based on imaginary figures that crazy webmonkeys whispered in my ear)

Yes, and I still don't know who Preitaart is or was. Mysterious riddles are omnipresent. But for the rest of you high intellectuals: Keep Up The Good Work You people I beg to come to this blog!

And for Claire. I would like to say I might be going to Mister Adamo Greeno. Because the Gnomes are also pretty dashing and yes if something is pretty dashing Mr. Warhol consider his duty to go to that musical event.

Mr.Stef Kamile Karlens and someone else.. hihi Posted by Hello

And everyone thinks there missing something

Aren't we all?

But we have to take the power in us to change it

Do we?

Hmm.

Anyway I never gave a decent review from the Brussel Vlaams Deluxe - show and because yesterday Stijn was on the tele, I was thinking By Liechentein I desperatly have the need to get my blog up. Not that I'm so bizy with my own private life for hell sake social life is flushed down the toilet. Ow just kidding.

Stijn
Arriving fashionably late and just in time to catch his last songs. I can't really give a good and complete judgement about it, but I can tell you that he was wearing a very trendy outfit and he was getting his bleep on on-stage.

Triggerfinger
Being Belgium's most famous Stonerrock band, and not exactly being my favorites (see review werchter, where they played a We Will Bore You Until Your A small Stone-set), they had the hardest role to forfill the event. Though I must say I was perhaps one of the few who had that opinion.
Well there set was pretty typical rock-cliché like event. With the obligatory elements like their on Triggerfinger-sing, and the usual pose of look at us we're the evil-looking guitar-playing hombero's. The set list was typical, yes they did their cover of George Micheal(Faith). But that was until Stijn jumped on stage. Together they did an "improvised" version of a vocal Wiezeddegij and a guitarline that is closer to Sexjunkie. And if Stijn really wanted to make up for me missing his concert for three quarts of it, he also did a very dashing dance breakdown. Ow dizziling!

Zita Swoon
Before I start I just want to thank Stef Kamil for given me the tickets for the show, but that is all for the ass kissing.
Muhahhaha. Like their new album it is more folky and acoustical, so au revoir funky and jazzy intermezzo's, helloha backing soul-folk background singers and left handed acoustic guitars.
Zita Swoon is in fact Stef Kamil and other people who just happen to be there and making music. But thank Kandinsky for it, they are passing by and making those wonderful tunes with him. He surely has to thank a lot to his band. Especially on nights where his own clapping confuses him and he has to restart his own song 2 times. Nevertheless Zita Swoon did an filling set with some downs but the ups where so high that you needed a helicopter to put your feet back on the ground.

But for all who wasn't there. Don't worry there is enough Broken Social Scene online for all of us.

Hotel playing his Hofner and singing, who said men could do two things at the same time? Posted by Hello

the setlist... Ow what is that writing? VV and Hotel.  Posted by Hello

the Kills- Yes Wow and No vocals?
AB 2004, 18 January

Arriving fashionably early, I had the time to think about the the show. I was wondering if it was going to be a really concert or a press event. But it wasn't my first Kills concert. Far from it. So I didn't really expect an only for the press event. But around 9.05 p.m. They arrived. Hotel with a t-shirt with a girl that looks like VV. While VV was just VV, a Debbie Harris meets Nico styled rock star. And the logical consequence of their arrival is that I was filled with joy. But I then... the horror!... Who ever was in charge of the sound should get a bullet right through his head. You could only hear a soft background like vocal because someone left the volume of the guitars wide open. And yes the rest of the night I could hardly hear V.V.'s or Hotels voice. But thanks to XFM and the world web and their stop at the pukkelpopfestival, I already had the lyrics in my head.
But from what I could hear was a trip through the gutters and the dirty streets from London (Paxton perhaps?).

They kicked off with No Wow! theme song fromt their new album No Wow, the song is like Superstion where the kills have a more raw electro-sound. And they followed it up with Cat Claw, and even the journalist started bouncing their head a bit more. Other songs like Dead Road seven, Hate the way you love, Love is a deserter have a more garage-rock electro sound, or a more post-punk sound.
They also played with the sexy-agressive vibe that is now official Kills-vibe. The Kills put down a nice show and even if VV trips over her own microphone she still does it with a certain rock'n'roll attitude.

And you can't never say that a Kills concert is always the same. Because, in contrary with bands like the hives -where you cleary go to a "show"- the kills are people where on stage experience has a more carpe diem like attitude. Another "shocking" fact is that for the first time ever VV pushed Hotel away from her. Which surprised me because she usually adores Hotel madly. Something Rotten in the State of Killsmark?

Anyway they rounded things up with their Captain Beefheart cover, and for a strange reason when the last note of Drop Out Boogie was echoing through the Vox speaker, a part of the audience was convinced that they had seen a concert that wasn't just another one in the row.

Later that evening was even better but maybe it clouded my judgement a bit.

Well in case you didn't know. Posted by Hello

The mr. Harry
Yes, main event this week wasn't all the fundraising for the poor Asian. No Prins Harry (William's younger brother, miss hairclip) took all the credits, when he dressed up like a nazi. Don't really know why everybody is giving him so a hard time for that. We all knew that he was a bit of a nutter. Now for the Simon Wiesenthal Centre, who is going to help him and take the prince to Auschwitz. This event illustrates beautifully who royalties are. Too rich and too dumb.

Anyway Some more madness from the people behind Rather good.Ow and for those who will click on webexrcise be better have a strong stomache. And here is a petition against a petition Ashlee Simpson. Didn't sign it coz I've got a big sympathy for people who can't sing at all. But if there was a petition against Rammenstein. But will you're at it and if you were thinking that this was as freaky as it could get ow no here is another petition, please read this stuff it is hilarious. Someone is saying that the tsunami disaster is going to be small fries compared to the moment when Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston are officially going to split up. So if you're really sad sign this

Sad Sad World.

Something to make the head ache go away.

I made a Quiz for you! Take my Quiz! and then Check out the Scoreboard!

Yesterday was fast day. With actors, yes I sincerly recommend Murder In Bullshitville. Has a great cast. ... hmm owk. Maybe pushing it. But still check it out.

The rest of the evening was spent heading in the Factory. Where I heard nothing then trance and dance. So it wasn't my cup of tea if you know what I mean. Then had a few in debt conversation that who will be not called the girl with moustache. Nope You think I would say but no I'm a nice person. LIE LIE.

I didn't had much energy reserves left today. Because I still worked on "The Black Door" (new song) untill 3 AM and I woke up at 8 AM. So sorry if that had any effect on other people.

No Wow, if you keep me on your mean side.

Yes I got a ticket to see the Kills next week in the AB, so that is tuesday the 18th, where they'll play a short set for 250 people who can order ticket faster than their own shadow.(Hope this is not going to be a very Tom Waits like kind of affair where half of the room will be stuffed by brainless celebrities who got their tickets because they can drop the fact they've been to some underground blues/punk band, which they been following for years)
Maybe if the very friendly money gods and be able gods will give me their blessing then I might also be going to see DKT/MC5, but the line up isn't maybe as good as it was this summer. But anyway let's hope

Now what have you been reading?
Well for the moment I'm reading "the 120 days of Sodomia" by D.A.F. de Sade. Now you I'm pretty much sure that everyone has already heard about him, but this is a random fact where you can brag about in your favourite pub: "Did you know that the libertines got their name from this Marquis. Lust of the Libertines ring a bell." But it gave me a total new perspective on their track "france".

Now I'm not only reading a book about sexual joy and S.M., I've also been reading a few blogs lately and here are a few blogs that always seemed to be interesting for one reason or another.

http://blog.zmag.org/bloggers/?blogger=chomsky
The blog of the man who's the Ché Guevara of the academici. His anti-capitalistic, without getting all nihilistic, approach on the latest worldnews gives a different perspective on our modern aged world.

http://www.themodernage.org
One of NY's finest blogs. It provides you all the gossip about the strokes and similar bands. But it also gives the latest "news" on very serious matters like: "Heidi Klum to marry Seal." Interesting; Very interesting!

http://www.fireballsandtsunami.com/
Another NYish blog. This is a more diary like blog that gives you the lastest info about Jennifer Piston. And about everything she's ever done in her life. This blog is so gigantic it would take you more than a year to finish it. Well Jennifer Piston is a remarkable person. She did some fine research and yes. Well her blog is well documentated that it is no longer needed to have a life of your own just follow her life. Ow and if miss Piston will ever come on to this site could she explain me the link about all her researchers and works and her job at this moment?

Post Scriptum
This blog already existed long before the you know what in the you know which ocean.

http://spaces.msn.com/members/superstitionkills/PersonalSpace.aspx_c01_blogpart=blogmgmt&_c=blogpart
The blog of miss Penny. Hmm gives you her look on life. But I personnaly tend think her whole 12-12 texting thing is a bit far fetched and out of hand. This isn't a blog like the last one this is a good indicator how life is for a post modern teenager.
