rock'n'roll
So what happened in my days of absent?
Well a birthday party -> very cool one though.
and yesterday the day of rock'n'roll.
There was this free gig of Thou, a Flemish band, in the fnac in Brussels. Well my biggest fear was that is was going to turn out to be a silent listening concert. Well one hand it kinda was coz people didn't really react to the songs and waited until the last note was gone for 1 minute and then dare to start giving an applause. But on the other hand Bart Vincent was very good frontman, who was trying to interact with the audience. They're songs were very tight and perfectly played. The only negative thing is that the band are an group of little isles. The drummer is an isle, the bass-player(you're never to old to rawk!) was one, the guitarist was one (he gave some vicious looks at the audience ) was one and Does and Bart were on an isle together. They all need to be more like to be one isle.
But after the show they were so kind enough to let us take a picture with them.
Anyway Rebbie the Becca showed me her old school and later we stopped at MONK (a pub). Actually it is a pub were you have to be and more you have to be seen.
After two drinks we saw Speaking T walking in. (that is another band think Bowie meets some Detroit soul) Well I couldn't really remember from which band they were so Rebbi the Becca went over there and simply asked them. And then bang I knew it again. They were very talkative and ultra friendly. Hmm went to their website and now planning of buying their cd. You should do the same for those two bands coz they really rock your socks off.
Today was like a family party day... That isn't very rock'n'roll so I'm not gonna mention something of it.
I hope to back soon with more news ...
